Upgrades/Mods on Roman Empire’s 525i:
(At first, normal things to do just in case as I like to keep my vehicle in pristine order remember Needs before wants)……
Sep/Oct 2010 First thing I did oil change, 4 brand new Falken tires 245/40ZR-18 (was on a budget at the time, nxt time ill grab bigger ones for the rear), New BMW M54 Bosch Water Pump, New Sparkplugs, and New valve cover gasket.
Now the Wants (Still Sep/Oct 2010) ….. New set of Cabin Air filters, New Painted BMW E39 AC type Roof & M trunk spoiler combo, New Black Kidney OEM Style grille, New BMW M Wheel Badge Sticker Logo, New Real carbon fiber BMW Emblems (Hood 82mm & Trunk 78mm), New BMW carpet floor mats (cheap Ebay quality, had to get them reinforce at my shoe repair place lol), New Front & Rear Cup Holder Set (as everyone else I bet), New BMW Wood shift knob, Used Gauge assembly complete cluster (thought it was faulty only to find out it was my ABS Control module), Rebuilt ABS Control Module (Very expensive and very annoying part as some E39 owners may of already have noticed), New Complete Custom K&N Cold Air Intake System 57-0513 Performance Intake Kit (not the cheap Ebay crap).
Jan 2012 (Recent Upgrades/Mods)
4 New Drilled & Slotted Brake rotors and 2 sets of ceramic Brake pads (a b***h to remove once screw gets stripped), New set of Dual Halo HID projector headlights (original ones are in perfect condition but I switched them due to the amber colored side, which am no big fan of). New BMW E39 M5 front & Rear Bumpers w/ fog lights, New E39 Aluminum front upper strut bar, New Black Carbon fiber steering wheel emblem (lol don’t u dare have any contact with the red wire just FYI)), 4 New quality locking wheel nut set, 4 New carbon fiber wheel center caps.
Feb 2012 (Recent Upgrades/Mods)
New BMW rechargeable flashlight, Used Complete trunk tool kit, New Chrome gauge ring, 4 New Stagg SHS Struts, 4 New Vogtland lowering springs (Much Stiffer but definitely worth it as now the car sits lower as mine is a non Sport), New Clutch Brake Pedal, New set of BMW genuine front fender liner, New MagnaFlow Muffler Exhaust 14815 (absolutely terrific both sound and now the look due to the rear M bumper modifications required. Even though some ppl say modification is not required and I recommend you do. In order for it to look right you must trim/grind/cut the diffuser in order to look flush/even on all 3 sides, which I prefer), Used BMW E39 OEM tool jack, New outside ambient temperature sensor, New BMW OEM Mass Air Flow Sensor, 2 New BMW tire wheel lifting jack pad.
Mar 2012 (Recent Upgrades/Mods)
New 17” Voxx Borsa Full Rim w/ Michelin tire for my spare Wheel (Vehicle never came with tool jack, spare wheel, nor trunk tools, which helped me negotiate the vehicle’s sale price, New vehicle Battery, 2 New BMW engine cover trim cap, 10 New trim clips genuine BMW, New LED cigar lighter (just to complete the car a lil more), Euro Armrest
Future plans
M5 Mirrors, Built in Navigation System (Can’t wait for it), paint my front and rear bumpers
