2000 540i w/sport package and cold weather package 94k miles Silver exterior Black interior. Exterior has some work needed done to it hence the word "allegidly" Wheels seem to be staggered with the rear wheels having a deeper lip on them. 17spoke wheels I believe is what they are called. The wheels are flaking horribly and have curb rash on passenger side of car along with rest of damage. They are wrapped in Pirelli P06 all season tires that seem to be brand new. Will these be considered winter tires? Living in Indy we do get a fair amount of snow but I figured that when I was an inexperienced teenager back in highschool I had a couple of 5.0 Mustakes... I mean mustangs and never hit a single car ditch or anything. As you are well aware ,the 89 mustang is no where near in the class of the 540 or any BMW in my opinion. I am fully aware of the cost of maintenance on the car but I figured it is worth it if I even get anywhere near the life of the 540s I have seen. Replaced drive shaft , carrier bearing and the rest of the goodies on the drive line in that area. Cost me around 800 to get it done. Only thing the car needs now is the pixel ribbon replaced on the odometer, cup holders (if you wanna call them that) are stuck open and I need to replace one of the rear heater vents on the passenger console. Also what is up with this pitiful sound system? Mids and highs are ok but zero bass. I have looked into the 7inch touch screen DVD,Navigation,CD player that is plug n play on this car but I am curious to see if I will lose my information center if I do replace it. I am only running shell gasoline in the car and with the knowledge you guys have on these cars, Is Mobile 1 Performance Synthetic comparable to the BMW Synthetic oil? Also , If I do the service myself, will the change oil light go off? The only other upgrades I am considering is the M5 front bumber cover as it really needs to be replaced. I have realized that I missed out on the Halo lights by one year. I am sure it is not this easy but can I just get a hold of some 01-03 halo projectors and just swap them out?
