I ordered this car on May 22, and it arrived at the dealership July 1st. Huge thanks to David Bowen at Monrovia BMW. This is my family's third car from him and he continues to impress. I special ordered her in Vermilion Red with Chestnut Brown leather and a sport package. I'll be installing BMW performance pedals later this weekend and I'm considering a CDV delete. We'll see...

I needed a car cheap, and found a shady mechanic in El Sereno who sold cars he repaired. At the time, I knew little about cars, but it was clean and the guy said he would fix anything wrong with it, so I bought her for $1000. Sadly, the mechanic didn't come through on his end, so I had to get repairs done myself. A new set of tires, brakes and an oil pan. Sadly, the engine started going south, so I had to get a new car. But that 20 year old car wasn't so bad, and it had a lot of features for a car that old. Ultimately, it sold me on the world of BMWs.

I bought this car from a small dealer specializing in European cars about 50 miles outside of Los Angeles. I hunted around for a 5 series with a manual transmission for about a month and finally found this one. She was a great car, my favorite of all time until I got the Z4. It was loaded with most everything that was offered back then. It had leather, sunroof, heated, electric seats and that great V8 engine. Strangely, it produced similar power to the straight 6 in the Z. But the car was great and amazing to drive. Sadly, I couldn't afford the repairs it regularly needed, so I sold it to Mazda and got my first Mazda3. I still miss her sometimes.

I'd like you to meet Claes. She's Silver with a black interior and matching power retractable top and heated seats. Modifications have been kept to very light cosmetic changes-stubby antennae, Bosch low profile wiper blades, Phillips X-treme Power Headlight Bulbs, clear turn signal bulbs on the quarter panels, clear bulbs on all interior lights, swapped the black grills for silver, installed a rear windscreen from roadstersolutions.com and swapped the Bridgestone runflats for Yokohama S.Drives

I broke my last car, so I needed something new. My Mom's friend's sister was selling her old Civic for a couple grand, and I knew nothing about cars, so I figured, "What the hell?" It was mechanically sound, but the paint was going South and that woman did not treat her car well. Let's say she liked chocolate, and tended to get it everywhere. She also liked Nine Inch Nails decals and bad tint jobs. Anyway, the car was whatever. I did, however, install an aftermarket CD player, which thieves liked. They broke in once and stole the deck, then the second time, they stole the whole car and backed it into a tree at about 20 miles an hour. So it was paid out by the insurance company for a couple grand, and led to my next car.

I had Carmax ship this car to Monrovia, CA from somewhere in the South. I don't remember where exactly. Anyway, the car itself was alright, it was loaded and drove pretty good. But the front, right headlight had condensation in it, the door locking mechanisms didn't work and the transmission was really bad. I didn't want to deal with it, so I gave it back to Carmax within their five-day deal. Glad to get rid of that car.

She was a fine car for what she was. Had moonroof/6 Disc CD and rear curtain airbags added on at the factory along with a set of Yokohama S Drive high-performance tires. I sold her at the BMW dealership to get my Z4. First car I've ever gotten rid of that wasn't broken in some way. Truly a trade-up.

A good economy car with factory installed moonroof, 6 disc CD changer and rear, curtain airbags. Unfortunately I crashed it, and the insurance company had to pay it out. Which led to the next couple car adventures.

This is the first one. I bought this car on the recommendation of my parents, who know nothing about cars. Sadly, at the time I didn't either. So I got it. It was fairly loaded, for a 10 year old American piece of crap. But it was a Saturn-Does any more need to be said? Over two years, I drove it like crap and hit a few things. Eventually I broke the torque converter, necessitating all future car purchases have manual transmissions. Anyway, it was given away to a non-profit, and the car adventures began!
