Of my three cars, the BMW is the best balance between sportscar-like road handling, and a comfortable ride. I don't how BMW does it. They just keep building real driver's cars.
This car has been almost trouble free for the last 20,000 miles. I just recently had to change the alternator; so I included new water pump, thermostat, etc. Otherwise, except for the normal bushing wear and warped rotors, it just runs and runs.

Not a BMW, but a fine example of a Grand Touring luxury car: Smooth, quiet, and powerful. I bought this car for $13,000. The body, paint, interior and top were pristine. I have spent another $3000 to bring it back to its original mechnical condition.
